It is a moving and memorable experience, and one many guests describe as the highlight of their entire journey.

Dr. Alexina
Before you arrive, Dr. Alexina shares what drew her to Kovalam — and why this particular place, this particular medicine, and this particular time of year create the conditions for true restoration.
After two decades of clinical practice watching women navigate burnout, hormonal imbalance, and a quiet erosion of self, she knew that lasting change required more than a prescription. It required space — the kind only stillness can offer.
Kovalam is not incidental. The Leela Raviz sits on a cliff above the Arabian Sea, surrounded by 65 acres of gardens and some of the oldest Ayurvedic traditions in Kerala. This is where ancient medicine meets the sea — and where Dr. Alexina returns to teach.

Certain sessions are designated for female retreat participants only and will be clearly marked in the agenda. Male partners are welcome to join for all meals, excursions, and resort activities, and will receive their own customized Ayurvedic program as part of their stay at The Leela Kovalam.

Full payment is due by August 31, 2026. Balances not received by this date may result in cancellation of your reservation.
Cancellation after August 31, 2026
No refund is issued and all monies paid are forfeited.
If Iniya Retreats cancels or reschedules
You receive a full refund or a credit toward a future retreat — your choice.
Travel insurance
Required for all guests. Arrange independently before the retreat. Comprehensive coverage including trip cancellation, medical, and evacuation is recommended.
